Khoirotun Naimah , 2023. “The use of animation powerpoint as audio visual
learning media of listening skill for tenth grade students of MAS Al-Falah
Lemahabang.” A thesis of English Language Education study program of
Tarbiyah and Teacher Training Faculty of State Islamic Institute of
(IAIN) Palopo, supervised by Jufriadi and Fadhliyah Rahmah Muin.
This research focussed on The use of animation powerpoint as audio
visual learning media of listening skill for tenth grade students of MAS Al-Falah
lemahabang. The research question of this research was “Does the use of
animation power point increase students’ listening skill for tenth grade students of
MAS Al-Falah Lemahabang?”. Based on the research question above, the aims of
the research was to find out how animation power point as the audio visual
learning media can increase students’ listening skill. The result of this research
were expected: 1) the research can provide additional information about the using
animation power point in classroom activies and provide information that
listening increased by animation power point as the audio learning. 2) powerpoint
animation to be information and useful for all teacher and students in teaching and
learning listening, and it also give impact to increasing students’ listening skill.
The research used pre-eksperimental method. The researcher got the score by
using a test that are pre-test and post-test. The population of this research was
tenth grade students at MAS Al-Falah Lemahabang. The sample was taken by
random sampling. The sample amount consist of 24 students. The instruments in
this research were pre-test and post-test. There was significant differences
between pre-test and post-test result, which post-test higher (76.67) than pre-test
(59.79). According to the output table paired sample test, the sig value was 0.001
< 0.05, so H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. It indicates that using powerpoint
animation as audio visual learning media is effective as learning/teaching listening
skill at MAS Al-Falah Lemahabang. It means that powerpoint animation as audio�visual media can increase listening ability in tenth grade student at MAS Al-Falah
Lemahabang in 2023/2024 academic years.
