Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of learning using audio-visual media,
especially in Islamic religious education subjects at MTs Negeri 9 Yogyakarta. This research is a
quantitative descriptive research that uses a survey method. The data collection used is using a
survey with a Likert scale. In analyzing the data, the researcher calculated the percentage in each
of the existing indicators. The results of this study indicate that the effectiveness of using audiovisual media at MTs Negeri 9 Yogyakarta is included in the "Very Good" criteria with an average
percentage of 84.85%. Even though the criteria achieved were good, the researcher still got some
difficulties faced by the students. This difficulty needs to get solutions and handling from the
school so that the implementation of learning becomes more perfect and can achieve educational
goals as well as possible. The audio-visual media used needs to be carefully designed according
to the needs and abilities of the students. The research results that have been obtained are
expected to be considered in evaluating learning and become a reference for future research.
