Islamic Studies Palopo Supervised by Masruddin and Dewi
Furwana.
This research is aimed to find out the effective ways of poetry in enhancing students'
pronunciation at the eleventh-grade student of MAN Luwu. This research was
conducted through Classroom Action Research in two cycles. The researcher used
observation and measurement tests as techniques for collecting the data. The
researcher elaborated the observation checklist, reflection, and students' results in
the evaluation test to manage data to get the research findings. The result showed
that the effective ways of poetry in enhancing students' pronunciation are (1) Using
communicative games, (2) Using an instrument, and (3) Drilling the pronunciation
of words. The results of this research are used as input for teachers and pre-service
teachers to improve themselves with the teaching carried out and students' learning
achievements that have been achieved by methods and learning students' motivation
to improve students' achievement.
