Syamsidar To’longan, 2022, "The Influence of Pocket Money and Lifestyle on
Consumption Behavior of FEBI IAIN Palopo Students".

This thesis discusses the effect of pocket money and lifestyle on the
consumption behavior of FEBI IAIN Palopo students. This study aims: to
determine the effect of pocket money on the consumption behavior of FEBI IAIN
Palopo students; to determine the effect of lifestyle on the consumption behavior
of FEBI IAIN Palopo students; to determine the effect of pocket money and
lifestyle on the consumption behavior of FEBI IAIN Palopo students.
This type of research is quantitative research. The population is all active
students of the Islamic Faculty of Economics and Business, IAIN Palopo. The
sample used was 97 students obtained from the calculation results using the slovin
formula. The analytical tools used are validity and reliability tests, classic
assumption tests, multiple linear analysis, and hypothesis testing using SPSS
version 20.
Based on the test results, the researchers stated that pocket money (X1) has
a significant effect on consumption behavior (Y) where the t-count > t-table is
4.090 > 1.985. The lifestyle variable (X2) has a significant effect on consumption
behavior (Y) where t-count > t-table is 7.939 > 1.985. Meanwhile, simultaneously
the pocket money and lifestyle variables influence consumption behavior, as seen
from the F-count > F-table, which is 276.457 > 3.093, with a significance value of
0.000 <0.05. The results of the test of the coefficient of determination obtained
pocket money and lifestyle variables of 85.5% and the remaining 14.5% were
influenced by other variables not examined.
