ABSTRACT
Arya Suyanti, 2022. “Designing a Guide Book of Fardu Prayers for Students at
MTsN 2 Luwu”. A thesis of The English Department Study Program of
Tarbiyah and Teacher Training Faculty, State Islamic Institute of
Palopo. Supervised by: (1) Prof. Dr, Sahraini., M.Hum and (2)
Husnaini, S.Pd, I., M.Pd.
This research attempted to design a guidebook of fardu prayers for the students at
MTsN 2 Luwu. The research question of this research is “How to design a
guidebook of fardu prayers for the students at MTsN 2 LUWU?”. Related to the
description above, the research's objectives were to design a guidebook of fardu
prayers for the students at MTsN 2 Luwu in second grade. The research design used
in this research was Research and Development (R&D) utilizing the 4D model. It
consists of defining, designing, Developing, and Disseminating. This research used
several instruments: a questionnaire and interview for need analysis, an experts’
validation questionnaire for guidebook prayer validation, and a questionnaire for
students' and teachers’ perceptions. Furthermore, the appropriate guidebook for
fardu prayers as the final product of this research consists of three topics: The way
to do Ablution (wudhu), the Procedure to do Prayer (Shalat), Invalidate Ablution
and Prayer. In this research, three experts were involved in validating the product.
Therefore, the result showed that regarding the expert’s validation and the students
and teacher perception, the product of this research was appropriate to implement
for the students MTsN 2 Luwu.
