Hikmia A., 2023. Development of Islamic Religious Education Learning Media
about Halal and Haram Food and Drinks Based on Flashcard at
State Junior High School 11 Palopo. Thesis of Islamic Religious
Education Study Program, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher
Training, State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Palopo. Supervised by
Hisban Thaha and Muh. Agil Amin.
This research discusses the development of Islamic Religious Education
Learning Media about Halal and Haram Food and Drinks Based on flashcards at
State Junior High School 11 Palopo. Based on observations made by researchers,
research into the development of flashcard-based media is motivated by the
reduced use of supporting media in Islamic Religious Education learning to
increase students' interest in learning. This research aims to: 1) Understand the
stages of developing flashcard-based learning media. 2) Testing the validity of
flashcard-based learning media. 3) Testing the practicality of flashcard-based
learning media.
This research uses Research and Development (R&D) as a type of
research. Meanwhile, the development model used in this research is the ADDIE
model which consists of five stages. The stages in the ADDIE model are analysis,
design, development, implementation and evaluation. The specimen for this
research was 9 students in class VIII State Junior High School 11 Palopo. Data
collection techniques use interviews, practicality sheets, validation sheets for
student learning interest questionnaires. The data analysis technique is qualitative
descriptive data analysis and quantitative descriptive data analysis.
The validity test results obtained from media experts were 87.5% in the
very valid category and from material experts 91% in the very valid category, the
average product validity was 89.2% in the very valid category. The results of the
Practicality test for flashcard learning media were 91% in the very practical
category and practicality by students was 84% in the very practical category. The
test results for students' learning interest before using flashcard learning media
were 79.6%, while after using flashcard learning media, they were 93.8% High
criteria, from the research results, students' learning interest increased by 14.2%.
Thus, it can be concluded that by using flashcard learning media regarding Halal
and Haram Food and Drink material, it can increase the learning interest of class
VIII students at State Junior High School 11 Palopo.
