This research focuses on using Vlogs as media learning media to improve the
speaking skills of class XI Madrasah Aliyah Rantebelu Luwu students.
Theresearch question is “What is the useof Vlog media that can improve students'
speaking skills in class XI students Madrasah Aliyah Rantebelu?” Based on the
research questions above, the objectives of this research aims to find out how vlog
Media works learning media can improve students' speaking skills. This research
uses quantitative methods. To collect data, researchers used a speaking test by
asking questions on the research instrument. The researcher gets a scoreusing tests,
namely pre-test and post-test. The population of this study isthe Eleventh grade
student Madrasah Aliyah Rantebelu Luwu. The samples are XI MIA 2 consists of
30 students. Based on the result of this research, the researcher concluded that
using vlog media was more effective in improving students` speaking skills. There
are significant differences between the pre-test and post-test results, where the
mean of the post-test was higher (60,57) compared to the pre-test (45,97). Based
on the paired sample test output table, a sig value of 0.000 is obtained< 0.05 then
(H0) is rejected and (H1) is accepted. This shows that using Vlog media in learning
is effectively used inlearning/teaching speaking skills at Madrasah Aliyah
Rantebelu Luwu. This means that Vlog as a learning medium can improve the
speaking skills of eleventh-grade students at Madrasah Aliyah Rantebelu Luwu
for the 2023/2024 academic year.
