Palopo”. Skripsi Program Studi Ekonomi Syariah Fakultas Ekonomi
dan Bisnis Islam Institut Agama Islam Negeri Kota Palopo.

Skripsi ini membahas tentang Pertumbuhan Ekonomi dan Peluang Investasi di
Kota Palopo. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui struktur perekonomian di
Kota Palopo dan estimasi kebutuhan investasi PDRB di Kota Palopo. Jenis
penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan menggunakan teknik analisis
tipologi klassen untuk mengetahui struktur perekonomian di Kota Palopo dan
analisis ICOR untuk mengetahui estimasi kebutuhan investasi PDRB di Kota
Palopo. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada Oktober-Desember 2023 dengan Kota
Palopo sebagai objek penelitian dan Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan sebagai wilayah
referensi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat adanya perubahan
struktur ekonomi Kota Palopo dari ekonomi yang didominasi oleh sektor agraris
menjadi sektor jasa dan industri, hal ini berdasarkan pada hasil analisis tipologi
klassen yang menunjukkan bahwa kontribusi PDRB Kota Palopo didominasi oleh
sektor tersier dan sekunder. Sementara itu, hasil analisis ICOR PDRB Kota
Palopo pada tahun 2022 mencapai angka 6,9, artinya bahwa estimasi investasi
yang dibutuhkan untuk meningkatkan 1 unit output PDRB adalah sekitar 6,9 unit,
atau untuk meningkatkan 1.000.000,00 output PDRB maka dibutuhkan tambahan
investasi sekitar 6.900.000,00. Ini menandakan bahwa pembentukan modal di
Kota Palopo belum efisien.

This thesis discusses Economic Growth and Investment Opportunities in Palopo.
This study aims to determine the economic structure in Palopo and the estimation
of GRDP investment needs in Palopo. This type of research is descriptive
quantitative using klassen typology analysis to determine the economic structure
in Palopo and ICOR analysis to determine the estimated investment needs of
GRDP in Palopo. This research was conducted in October-December 2023 which
Palopo as the research object and South Sulawesi as the reference area. The
results of this study indicate that there are changes in the economic structure of
Palopo from an economy dominated by the agrarian sector to the service and
industrial sectors, it is based on the klassen tipology analysis result which show
that the contributions of Palopo GRDP are dominated by tertiary and secondary
sectors. Meanwhile, the results of the ICOR analysis of the GRDP of Palopo in
2022 reached 6.9, which means the estimated investment required to increase 1
unit output of GRDP is around 6.9 units, or to increase 1,000,000.00 GRDP
output, investment required is around 6,900,000.00. This indicates that capital
formation in Palopo does not efficient yet.
