Abstract

HASMA. R, 2024. “Kehidupan Sosial Ekonomi Petani Nilam di Desa Sarambu
Kabupaten Kolaka Utara” Skripsi Program Studi Ekonomi
Syariah Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Islam Institut Agama
Islam Negeri Palopo. Di bimbing oleh Rismayanti S.E.,M.Si
Skripsi ini membahas tentang kehidupan sosial ekonomi petani nilam di
Desa Sarambu Kabupaten Kolaka Utara. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui
kehidupan sosial ekonomi petani nilam di Desa Sarambu Kabupaten Kolaka Utara.
Metode penelitian yang di gunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan
kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah petani nilam di Desa Sarambu.
Teknik yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data yaitu observasi, wawancara dan
dokumentasi. Lokasi penelitian ini berada di Desa Sarambu Kecematan Porehu
Kabupaten Kolaka Utara.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa, pertama kehidupan sosial petani
nilam di Desa Sarambu yaitu hubungan atau interaksi yang berlangsung antara
petani atau masyarakat di desa sarambu terjalin dengan baik. seperti saling bertukar
informasi tentang pertanian, saling pinjam meminjam alat perlengkapan, saling
tolong menolong dan selalu ikut serta dalam aktivitas-aktivitas sosial seperti gotong
royong. Pendidikan terakhir petani nilam hanya sampai SD dan SMP bahkan ada
yang tidak sekolah, Rata-rata petani nilam di Desa Sarambu memiliki Kesehatan
yang baik. Kedua Kehidupan ekonomi petani nilam di Desa Sarambu Kabupaten
Kolaka Utara memiliki pendapatan yang bervariasi tergantung dari luas lahan dan
harga jual minyak nilam. Tingkat pendapatan dari petani nilam cukup untuk
memenuhi kebutuhan walaupun harus didukung pekerjaan sampingan. Dari segi
kebutuhan sandang dan pangan sudah mampu untuk memenuhi kebutuhan tersebut
walaupun tidak mengandung gizi yang lengkap setiap hari.

This thesis discusses the socio-economic life of patchouli farmers in
Sarambu Village, North Kolaka Regency. This research aims to determine the
socio-economic life of patchouli farmers in Sarambu Village, North Kolaka
Regency. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The
subjects of this research were patchouli farmers in Sarambu Village. The techniques
used in collecting data are observation, interviews and documentation. The location
of this research is in Sarambu Village, Porehu District, North Kolaka Regency.
The results of this research show that, firstly, the social life of patchouli
farmers in Sarambu Village is that the relationships or interactions that take place
between farmers in Sarambu Village are well established. such as exchanging
information about agriculture, lending each other tools and equipment, helping each
other and always participating in social activities such as mutual cooperation. The
last level of education of patchouli farmers is only up to elementary and middle
school, some even don't go to school. On average, patchouli farmers in Sarambu
Village have good health. Second, the economic life of patchouli farmers in
Sarambu Village, North Kolaka Regency, has income that varies depending on the
area of land and the selling price of patchouli oil. The income level of patchouli
farmers is sufficient to meet their needs even though they have to be supported by
side jobs. In terms of clothing and food needs, they are able to meet these needs
even though they do not contain complete nutrition every day.
