Siswa”. Skripsi Pendidikan Matematika Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Ilmu
Keguruan Institut Agama Islam Negeri Palopo. Dibimbing oleh Nur
Rahmah dan Sitti Zuhaerah Thalhah.
Skripsi ini membahas tentang Efektivitas Model Pembelajaran (CUPs)
Conceptual Understanding Procedures Terhadap Kemampuan Berpikir Tingkat
Tinggi Matematika Siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan: untuk mengetahui kemampuan
berpikir tingkat tinggi matematika siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran
(CUPs) conceptual understanding procedures dan yang tidak diajar dengan model
pembelajaran (CUPs) conceptual understanding procedures. Penelitian ini juga
bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan model pembelajaran (CUPs) conceptual
understanding procedures terhadap kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi matematika
siswa kelas VII di MTsN Palopo.
Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian ekperimen dengan pendekatan
kuantitatif. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan teknik
sampling jenuh. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 2 kelas dengan jumlah siswa 73
orang. Data diperoleh melalui observasi dan tes.Kemudian data dianalisis
menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Hasil pre-test kemampuan
berpikir tingkat tinggi matematika siswa pada kelas ekperimen dan kelas kontrol
tergolong sangat rendah dengan nilai rata-rata 12,8 dan 15,3. Kemudian setelah
diberi perlakuan pada masing-masing kelas diperoleh nilai rata-rata hasil post-test
siswa pada kelas kelas eksperimen atau yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran
(CUPs) conceptual understanding procedures diperoleh nilai rata-rata hasil post
test siswa sebesar 86,5 dan termasuk pada kategori tinggi, sedangkan pada kelas
kontrol atau yang tidak diajar dengan model pembelajaran (CUPs) conceptual
understanding procedures sebesar 66,8 dan termasuk pada ketegori Sedang.
Berdasarkan perhitungan nilai rata-rata kedua kelas dan juga hasil uji hipotesis
maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran (CUPs) conceptual
understanding procedures terbukti lebih efektif meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir
tingkat tinggi matematika siswa kelas VII MTsN Palopo.

This thesis discusses the effectiveness of Conceptual Understanding
Procedures Learning Models (CUPs) on students' higher level mathematical
thinking abilities. This research aims: to determine the high-level mathematical
thinking abilities of students who are taught using the conceptual understanding
procedures learning model (CUPs) and those who are not taught using the
conceptual understanding procedures learning model (CUPs). This research also
aims to determine the effectiveness of conceptual understanding procedures
learning models (CUPs) on the high-level mathematics thinking abilities of class
VII students at MTsN Palopo.
This type of research isexperimental research with a quantitative
approach.Sampling in this research was carried out using a saturated sampling
technique. The sample used was 2 classes with a total of 73 students. Data was
obtained through observation and tests. Then the data was analyzed using
descriptive statistics and inferential statistics.
The results of this study show that the pre-test results for students' high
level mathematical thinking abilities in the experimental class and control class
were classified as very low with average scores of 12.8 and 15.3. Then, after being
given treatment in each class, the average score of the post-test results of students
in the experimental class or those taught using the learning model was
obtained.(CUPs) conceptual understanding proceduresThe average score obtained
from the students' post-test results was 86.5 and was included in the high category,
whereas in the control class or those not taught using the learning model(CUPs)
conceptual understanding proceduresamounting to 66.8 and is included in the
Medium category. Based on the calculation of the average value of the two classes
and also the results of hypothesis testing, it can be concluded that the learning
model(CUPs) conceptual understanding proceduresproven to be more effective in
improving the high-level thinking skills in mathematics of class VII MTsN Palopo
students.
