Abstract

Anjelina, 2024: Persepsi Masyarakat Terhadap Wanita Perokok di Desa Bahari
Kecamatan Wotu Kabupaten Luwu Timur. Skripsi Program Studi
Sosiologi Agama Fakultas Ushuluddin, Adab dan Dakwah Islam
Institut Agama Islam Negeri Palopo. Dibimbing Oleh Hj. Nuryani
dan Sudirman
Skripsi ini membahas tentang: Persepsi Masyarakat Terhadap Wanita Perokok di
Desa Bahari Kecamatan Wotu Kabupaten Luwu Timur. Adapun tjuan dari
penelitian ini adalah 1. untuk mengetahui penyebab Wanita Perokok di desa Bahari
kecamatan Wotu kabupaten Luwu Timur 2. Untuk mengetahui dampak sosial yang
diberikan oleh Wanita Perokok di desa Bahari kecamatan Wotu kabupaten Luwu
Timur. 3. Untuk mengetahuai pandangan masyarakat terhadap Wanita Perokok di
desa Bahari kecamatan Wotu kabupaten Luwu Timur Penelitian memperoleh data
melalui observasi,wawancara dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini adalah kualitatif.
Teori yang digunakan yaitu teori Intraksi Simbolik. Hasil Penelitian yaitu ada
beberapa faktor sosial yang menyebabkan wanita perokok yaitu faktor coba-coba,
faktor lingkungan, faktor tekana pekerjaan faktor keluarga Dan dampak yang di
timbukan oleh wanita perokok yaitu dampak positif dan negatif. Dampak positif
pada wanita perokok itu sendiri yaitu adanya perasan nyaman dan mampu
mengurangi strees. Adapun dampak sosial wanita perokok pada masyarakat yaitu
merokok dilingkungan sekitar secara langsung masyarakat yang tidak
mengkomsumsi rokok namun turun menghirup asap rokok dan berdampak negatif
untuk kesehatan, mencemarkan udara dan lingkungan. Sehingga adanya pandangan
negatif dan positif yaitu dimana pandangan negatif dikalangan wanita perokok di
anggap nakal, bebas dan pemberontak pada masyarakat. Pandangan positif biasa
saja dikarenakan adanya faktor dalam keluarga dan faktor pergaulan sebagai pilihan
sendiri berhubung mereka juga pernah berintraksi dengan beberapa wanita perokok
yang notabeknya memang tidak menunjukan indikasi adanya perilaku yang nakal

This thesis discusses: Community Perceptions of Women Smokers in Bahari
Village, Wotu District, East Luwu Regency. The objectives of this research are 1.
to find out the causes of women smoking in Bahari village, Wotu sub-district, East
Luwu district. 2. To find out the social impact of women smoking in Bahari village,
Wotu sub-district, East Luwu district. 3. To find out the community's view of
women who smoke in Bahari village, Wotu subdistrict, East Luwu district. The
research obtained data through observation, interviews and documentation. This
research is qualitative. The theories used are feminist epistemology theory and
lebeling theory. The research results are Internal Factors and External Factors.
Internal factors look at the principles of life they have established, including the
knowledge they see and observe regarding the characteristics of cigarettes, health
problems for women who smoke, as well as the values and norms that apply in that
environment. External factors have experiences when they interact with women
who smoke, such as within the family, neighbors and the surrounding environment.
So there are negative and positive views, namely where the negative view among
women who smoke is that they are considered naughty, free and rebellious because
of the form of social sanctions that exist in society. The positive view could be due
to factors within the family and social factors as well as their own choice because
they have also interacted with several female smokers who in fact did not show any
indication of naughty behavior.
