Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, Palopo State Islamic
Institute. Supervised by Dr. Fatmaridah Sabani, M.Ag and Eka
Poppi Hutami.

This thesis discusses improving science skills through color recognition activities at
Harapan Pammanu Kindergarten Group B in Pammanu Village, North Belopa
District, Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi Province. This research aims to improve the
children's science through Color Recognition Activities at Harapan Pammanu
Kindergarten Group B, Pammanu Village, North Belopa District, Luwu Regency,
South Sulawesi Province. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research
(PTK), with two cycles, namely Cycle I which consists of 4 meetings and Cycle II
which consists of 4 meetings. The subjects of this research were 16 children from
group B of TK Harapan Pammanu for the 2023/2024 academic year, consisting of 5
boys and 11 girls. The problem solving method used is by implementing a teaching
and learning process with color recognition activities to improve students' scientific
abilities obtained from the results of observation and documentation. The success of
this research is determined by the research results scores which show an increase in
students' science abilities. In the pre-cycle, the percentage of children's science
abilities was 26%, then in the first cycle it reached 60%, then in the second cycle it
reached 89.4%. Thus, this classroom action research (CAR) was successful so that
the researchers recommended that science learning with color recognition activities
can improve children's science abilities at Harapan Pammanu Kindergarten Group B,
Pammanu Village, North Belopa District, Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi Province.
