Abstract

This time educators of Arabic language seem to just consider Arabic language as a tool (wasilah) to understand Islamic exts, and not yet making it as a separate discipline that needs to be developed through a variety of research. Challenges and issues in Arabic education cannot be solved personally, but through institutional approach and involve many parties. Arabic language is an opportunity that rovides brighter and more propmising prospect in the future. Epistemology of science and the curriculum needs to be ddressed and oriented towards the establishment of
competitive ability in this global era. These all require many parties to work together in a unifying vision, mission, policy and development that is based on academic studies.
