This research is about whether or not the use Interactive Media improves students'
reading skills in the eleventh grade at SMAN 4 Palopo. This researcher adapted
the pre-experimental method in this research. The population of this research is
the eleventh grade of SMAN 4 Palopo. The researcher used purposive sampling
consisting of 20 students. The instrument in this research used to collect data was
a reading test (to find the students' improvement in reading) and a questionnaire
(to get students' responses about using the Interactive Media). The data was
analyzed statistically by using IBM SPSS 22. The data showed that students' mean
score in the post-test was higher than in the pre-test (50,50>77,50). Furthermore,
the research found that the significant value was 0.000, and the alpha was 0.05
(10,927<3.579). Therefore, it can be concluded that the research's alternative
hypothesis (H1) was accepted, and the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected.
Therefore, the researcher concludes that using Interactive Media can improve
students' reading skills. Furthermore, the result was supported by students'
responses, which demonstrated students whose statement was classified as having
a "high" percentage rating, and the questionnaire result indicated that most
respondents agreed with the response statement. Therefore, learning from
Interactive Media motivates the students to improve students reading.
