Yulia Ekawati, 2024. "Development of Android-Based Statika Application to
Increase Student Learning Motivation at SMP Negeri 9 Palopo." Thesis of
Mathematics Education Study Program, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher
Science, State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Palopo. Supervised by Nasaruddin
and Rosdiana.
This thesis discusses the development of Android-based statika applications
to increase student learning motivation at SMP Negeri 9 Palopo. This study aims to
determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the learning media
developed.
This type of research is research and development (R&D) research with the
ADDIE development model, which consists of five stages, namely: analysis,
design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subjects of this study
were 30 seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 9 Palopo. The instruments used were
media, material, and language expert validation sheets, practicality questionnaires,
and student learning motivation questionnaires. The data analysis technique used
was descriptive qualitative analysis and descriptive quantitative analysis.
The results of the development of this statika application are mathematics
learning applications that can be accessed on Android devices. The results of media
expert validation obtained an average of 95% with the category "very valid." The
recapitulation of material expert validation results obtained an average of 90% with
the category "very valid." The results of linguist validation obtained an average of
90% with the category "very valid." The results of the practicality test by teachers
obtained an average of 97.22% with the category "very practical," while the results
of the practicality test by students obtained an average of 75.23% with the category
"practical." The results of the effectiveness test of learning media in the form of this
android-based application in increasing student learning motivation are seen from
the N-gain test of 0.77% in the "high" category. Based on these results, it can be
concluded that statika applications can increase student learning motivation.
