Movies at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Luwu Timur.” A thesis of

This research used a Disney movie at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Luwu Timur to
improve students' listening skills. The primary inquiry was whether using Disney
movies effectively improves listening skills among students at Madrasah Aliyah
Negeri Luwu Timur. With this question in mind, the research aimed to assess the
effectiveness of Disney movies in enhancing student listening skills. Employing a
pre-experimental approach, the researcher conducted pre-tests and post-tests to
gauge student performance. The research population was comprised of twelfth-
grade students at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Luwu Timur, with a sample size of 15
students chosen through purposive sampling. The instruments in this research were
listening test, and the results showed a significant disparity between the pre-test and
post-test scores, with the latter (76.93) notably higher than the former (38.60). The
paired sample test revealed a significance value of (.000 < 0,05), indicating
rejection of the null hypothesis H0 in favor of the alternative hypothesis H1 that
watching Disney movies effectively enhances listening skills among twelfth-grade
students at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Luwu Timur.
