Developing Teacher Performance at SD DDI 2
Palopo”. Thesis of Islamic Education Management
Study Program, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher
Training, State Islamic Institute of Palopo. Supervised
by Taqwa and Hilal Mahmud.
This thesis discusses the Implementation of Principal Managerial Skills
in Developing Teacher Performance at DDI 2 Palopo Elementary School. The
objectives of this research are: to find out how the implementation of the
principal's managerial conceptual skills in developing teacher performance at SD
II 2 Palopo; to find out how the implementation of the principal's managerial
interpersonal skills in developing teacher performance at SD DDI 2 Palopo; to
find out how the implementation of the principal's managerial technical skills in
developing teacher performance at SD DDI 2 Palopo. This research used
descriptive qualitative method. The data collection techniques used were
observation, interview and documentation study. The research instruments used
interview guidelines and documentation formats. The research subjects were
principals and teachers. Data analysis used data reduction, data presentation, and
conclusion drawing. The results of this study showed three things. First, the
application of conceptual managerial skills of principals in developing teacher
performance at SD DDI 2 Palopo by planning school programs, taking advantage
of opportunities such as empowering existing human resources and forming team
work, and making continuous improvements. Second, the application of the
principal's interpersonal managerial skills in developing teacher performance at
SD DDI 2 Palopo by carrying out good communication such as involving teachers
and education personnel in the development of teacher performance.
