Putri Andini, 2024. "The Implementation of Course Review Horay Method to
Increase Students Reading Comprehension at MAN Palopo" A thesis of
English Education Study Program of Education and Teacher Training
Faculty, State Islamic Institute of Palopo. Supervised by Dewi Furwana
and St. Hartina.
This research aims to investigate the effectiveness of the Course Review Horay
implementation in enhancing students' reading comprehension. The researcher
employed a quantitative method with a pre-experimental design, comprising a
single group for pre-test and post-test evaluations conducted over four sessions.
The population consisted of tenth-grade students in the second semester of MAN
Palopo, totalling approximately 270 students across three classes. The sample
comprised 29 students from the first semester of the tenth grade at MAN Palopo,
selected due to identified reading difficulties. The findings indicate that the
Course Review Horay Learning Method significantly improves reading skills
among tenth-grade students at MAN Palopo. It is evidenced by the increase in
mean scores from 37.07 in the pre-test to 63.45 in the post-test, with a statistically
significant score of p < 0.05. Consequently, the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected,
while the alternative hypothesis (H1) was accepted, affirming the effectiveness of
the Course Review Horay Learning Method in enhancing reading skills.
